Introduction

Rakaposhi, the most well-known peak in the valley, has several climbing routes. From the Karakoram Highway, this magnificent peak is usually visible and dominates the horizon. It is impossible to adequately describe the magnificent sites from Hunza. Rakaposhi's unending glacier adds an exciting sense of joy to Hunza's breathtaking natural splendor.

On June 25, 1958, a British and Pakistani expedition made history by reaching the summit of Rakaposhi, including UK climbers Mike Banks and Tom Patey. Rakaposhi, the most well-known peak in the valley, has several climbing routes. From the Karakoram Highway, this magnificent peak is usually visible and dominates the horizon.
